She is a graduate of UC Berkeley (Social Science). Her interests include: Family, friends, writing, reading, music, drama, cats, birds. Claudia performs solo piano at Stanford Hospital's Cancer Center, and in concert with the trio, To the Moon. She is a member of Harpers Hall & culinary society and the International Society of Folk Harpers and Craftsmen.

Verlene is a rare "native Californian" having never lived in another state... A singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, she plays Celtic harp, chromatic cross-strung harp, double-strung harp, electric harp, acoustic guitar, piano, fiddle, and Swedish nyckelharpa. She has recorded 11 CD's, and published over 30 books of harp music. Verlene also teaches private music, and plays harp at Stanford Hospital for patients, families and staff. She performs in concert both as a solo performer and with several small groups including her trio To the Moon. Verlene has been the trio's arranger of the rich three part harmonies since the trio's start.
Born in Wyoming, and having lived from Alaska to California, Deb is a woman of woods and mountains. She was drawn to the Celtic harp after seeing a willowy and ethereal woman playing at the Renaissance Faire. Hoping the harp would make her willowy and ethereal as well, Deb took to it with a vengeance.  Willowy and ethereal never materialized (“They’re just never there when I need them!” she quips), but a lifelong obsession with harp and music did. Deb is currently singing and playing with Claudia Slayman and Verlene Schermer in their trio To the Moon.
